How To Listen With Mindfulness
It's important to understand that it needs attention and regular practice to be able to listen mindfully. Your feelings and thoughts can get in the way with your ability to listen. It can keep you from having the ability to truly hear what another person is telling you.
To listen with mindfulness involves paying attention to the speaker without cutting them off. It's about focusing your awareness on the speaker's words and gestures. One thing you can do to help you concentrate on exactly what another person is telling you is to maintain eye contact. This shows the other person that you're interested to listen about what they have to say.
If you do not understand well what the speaker is saying, ask them nicely to clarify their statement. It's better to ask, rather than to assume. Making assumptions can often cause further problems. So, do not hesitate to ask questions. And when they reply, see to it that you're listening with care and without judgment.

Tips on How to Be Mindful
There are simple ways to help you become more mindful. Being mindful has to do with being conscious of each moment as it comes. When you're conscious, you'll have the ability to acknowledge your thoughts. It allows you to be more appreciative and grateful even for the small things that come your way.
An important first step in becoming mindful is to dedicate yourself to pay very close attention to what's happening around you in the present. Instead of dwelling on issues from the past and worries about the future, choose to put all those habitual thoughts aside. Pay very close attention to what you're presently doing, such as reading a book or simply listening to your favorite music. Allow yourself to get lost in the music, and release your other thoughts or feelings. Just simply enjoy living in the present moment.
One way of helping you enhance your ability to be mindful is to practice meditation regularly. It can be a good idea to look for a good meditation instructor that you can learn from. Having an experienced guide can help you learn more quickly rather than to learn the process by yourself.

Tips to Help You Practice Mindfulness
Mindfulness is about being conscious of your thoughts and feelings as it comes. It's about being present and living your life in the moment. This might seem almost impossible for most busy individuals, as their minds are often filled with different thoughts. However, it's important to understand that it can be done.
One simple tip in helping you practice mindfulness is to do one thing at a time. For instance, when you're eating, make an effort to eat without doing anything else. Lots of people eat their lunch while doing lots of other things like checking their e-mails and answering a phone call at the same time. This can keep you from being conscious of what you're eating.
Another simple thing that you can do is to concentrate on doing only a single activity slowly. It may seem natural for you to carry out almost anything in a rush. Make an effort to do a single thing slowly, like simply taking deep breaths. Breathe slowly and just concentrate on your breath. Be conscious of the way you breathe and what it feels like each time you inhale and breathe out.
